Renee Evans has worked at KUHF in Member Services since 2001. Her many duties around the station include coordinating volunteers for pledge drive, developing member benefit offers and taking care of the station's loyal member/supporters. You can often find Renee at the KUHF booth greeting the public at many of the events KUHF sponsors or presents, including the International Festival, Theater District Open House, and one of her all-time favorites, The KUHF Silent Film Concerts at Discovery Green. Her favorite part of working at KUHF is enjoying the hustle and bustle of the station during on-air fundraising drives twice a year. All Things Considered and Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me are her favorite public radio programs and she's more than happy to show-off her recent photo with NPR's Carl Kasell.
In her free time, Renee is a avid reader and also enjoys creative writing. She is a native Texan, but longs to live in Scotland (which is also her favorite vacation spot). When she's not daydreaming about Scotland (or glued to her Blackberry), she enjoys activities/outings with her family and taking care of her Central American fish and snake collection.
